You have seen the movie and you’ve dreamt of walking into that same little bookstore in Portobello Road; you know the stars have all got houses in the area and you never thought for a minute you could live there too…
Think again! Bowden Court is our biggest hostel and it’s right in the middle of Notting Hill! Bowden Court is less than 5 minutes walk from the tube station and although it is located in a quiet residential street it is also very close to the shops and supermarkets.
Portobello Market is just around the corner from Bowden Court. On a Saturday morning it’s the place to be! See the stars browse round the stalls and pick up a bargain!
There are 2 cinemas on the main road plus the very exclusive Electrics in Portobello Road. The Notting Hill Arts Club offers very different nights with Jazz events or live DJs. You will also find some of the most lively pubs in the area where you will be able to share a pint with the locals.
Holland Park is close by and has stunning features such as the Kyoto Garden (a replica of an authentic Japanese garden), peacocks, rabbits, squirrels wandering free, beautiful flowers and amazing old trees.
Bowden Court offers accommodation for almost 300 Residents mostly in twin rooms, although we do also have some singles and triples. The rooms have separate beds (no bunk beds!) and are furnished in an essential but practical way. There is a wash hand basin in every room and a plentiful supply of toilets and showers are on each corridor. The Hostel has cheap Internet access, a study room, a self help laundry facility and 2 TV rooms.
But that’s not all! The price of your stay also includes a satisfying continental breakfast and a 3 course evening meal in our self service style dining room. On Saturdays and Sundays we do our very popular traditional English breakfast at no extra cost.
You must be thinking that all of this comes at a very high price… Well… no! Our prices start from as little as £20.50 per night for short stays but if you stay with us for at least 2 weeks you will only pay £81.50 per week (the equivalent of just £11.65 per night) if you stay in a shared room.
